Problem Statement

The base of an isosceles triangle is 2\sqrt 2. The medians to the leg intersect each other at right angles. The area of the triangle is: <spanclass=latexbold>(A) 1.5<spanclass=latexbold>(B) 2<spanclass=latexbold>(C) 2.5<spanclass=latexbold>(D) 3.5<spanclass=latexbold>(E) 4 (A)\ 1.5 \qquad(B)\ 2\qquad(C)\ 2.5\qquad(D)\ 3.5\qquad(E)\ 4
