Problem Statement

The first four terms of an infinite sequence SS of decimal digits are 11, 99, 88, 22, and succeeding terms are given by the final digit in the sum of the four immediately preceding terms. Thus SS begins 11, 99, 88, 22, 00, 99, 99, 00, 88, 66, 33, 77, 44, \cdots. Do the digits 33, 00, 44, 44 ever come up consecutively in SS?
