Problem Statement

A list of integers has mode 32 32 and mean 22 22. The smallest number in the list is 10 10. The median m m of the list is a member of the list. If the list member m m were replaced by m \plus{} 10, the mean and median of the new list would be 24 24 and m \plus{} 10, respectively. If m m were instead replaced by m \minus{} 8, the median of the new list would be m \minus{} 4. What is m m? <spanclass=latexbold>(A) 16<spanclass=latexbold>(B) 17<spanclass=latexbold>(C) 18<spanclass=latexbold>(D) 19<spanclass=latexbold>(E) 20 (A)\ 16\qquad (B)\ 17\qquad (C)\ 18\qquad (D)\ 19\qquad (E)\ 20
