Problem Statement

Let ABCDEABCDE be a convex pentagon inscribed in a circle Γ\Gamma, such that AB=BC=CDAB = BC = CD. Let FF and GG be the intersections of BEBE with ACAC and of CECE with BDBD, respectively. Show that:
a) [ABC]=[FBCG][ABC] = [FBCG]
b) [EFG][EAD]=BCAD\frac{[EFG]}{[EAD]} = \frac{BC}{AD}
Note: [X][X] denotes the area of polygon XX.
