Problem Statement

Two points AA and BB are given in the plane. A point XX is called their preposterous midpoint if there is a Cartesian coordinate system in the plane such that the coordinates of AA and BB in this system are non-negative, the abscissa of XX is the geometric mean of the abscissae of AA and BB, and the ordinate of XX is the geometric mean of the ordinates of AA and BB. Find the locus of all the preposterous midpoints of AA and BB.
