Problem Statement

Show that one cannot find compact sets A1,A2,A3,A_1, A_2, A_3, \ldots in R\mathbb{R} such that (1) All elements of AnA_n are rational. (2) Any compact set KRK\subset \mathbb{R} which only contains rational numbers is contained in some AmA_{m}.
