Problem Statement

We have squares ABCDABCD and EFGHEFGH. Square ABCDABCD has points with coordinates A=(1,1,1)A=(1,1,-1), B=(1,1,1)B=(1,-1,-1), C=(1,1,1)C=(-1,-1,-1) and D=(1,1,1)D=(-1,1,-1). Square EFGHEFGH has points with coordinates E=(2,0,1)E=(\sqrt{2},0,1), F=(0,2,1)F=(0,-\sqrt{2},1), G=(2,0,1)G=(-\sqrt{2},0,1), and H=(0,2,1)H=(0,\sqrt{2},1). Consider the solid formed by joining point AA to HH and EE, point BB to EE and FF, point CC to FF and GG, and point DD to GG and HH. Compute the volume of this solid.
