Problem Statement

Let P1P_1 and P2P_2 be regular polygons of 1985 sides and perimeters xx and yy respectively. Each side of P1P_1 is tangent to a given circle of circumference cc and this circle passes through each vertex of P2P_2. Prove x+y2cx + y \ge 2c. (You may assume that tanθθ\tan \theta \ge \theta for 0θ<π20 \le \theta < \frac{\pi}{2}.)
