Problem Statement

A square has vertices (0,10)(0,10), (0,0)(0, 0), (10,0)(10, 0), and (10,10)(10,10) on the xāˆ’yx-y coordinate plane. A second quadrilateral is constructed with vertices (0,10)(0,10), (0,0)(0, 0), (10,0)(10, 0), and (15,15)(15,15). Find the positive difference between the areas of the original square and the second quadrilateral.
