(a) If SS is a point on the line y=xy = x and TT is a point on the horizontal xx-axis so that PP is on the line segment STST, determine the minimum possible area of triangle OSTOST.
(b) If UU is a point on the line y=xy = x and VV is a point on the horizontal xx-axis so that PP is on the line segment UVUV, determine the minimum possible perimeter of triangle OUVOUV.
